CAT 2024 Registration Deadline

Today is 20th September 2024 and this is the last date to apply for CAT 2024 exam. Candidates must submit their application forms and complete payment by 5:00 PM. A correction window will be open for 2-3 days after the registration period ends to enable a candidate to make changes on the photo and signature areas as well as test the preferred city options.

CAT 2024 will be held on 24 November 2024 by IIM Calcutta in more than 170 cities across three shifts. The examination has been conducted following the same pattern while as the application fee has been raised from INR 100 for non-reserved categories and raised from INR 50 for reserved categories. What is the CAT Exam?

The Common Admission Test, CMAT is a national level entrance examination for admission into MBA and other Post Graduate Management programmes across India conducted by the IIMs for admission to the 21 IIMs and NITIE Mumbai that is now a part of IIM Mumbai. Annually around 2 lakh students appear for the CAT examination and out of which 3.30 lakh applications were received in CAT 2023. Passed out candidates get admission not only into the IIMs but also in over 1200 MBA colleges in India. But, CAT is accepted only for admissions within the country.

The CAT exam assesses speed and measures skills in Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The difficulty level ranges from moderate to high.

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

To be eligible for CAT 2024, candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

• A bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PWD/DA categories) is required.
• Candidates who have completed professional degrees such as CA/CS/ICWA/FCAI with the necessary percentage can also apply.
• Final-year undergraduate students or those awaiting results are also eligible, provided their first and second-year aggregate meets the minimum score requirement.
• The degree must be from a UGC-recognized institution, and it can be pursued via regular or distance learning modes as long as it's a three-year program.

CAT Registrations 2024

The registration window for CAT 2024 will remain open until 5:00 PM on September 20, 2024. The entire process is conducted online. Below is a step-by-step guide for registering and applying for CAT 2024:

CAT Exam Day Guidelines

Documents to carry on CAT exam day 2024

• CAT Admit Card 2024: Candidates must bring two printouts of their CAT 2024 admit card with a photo attached (preferably the same one used during application). Entry will not be allowed without the admit card and a valid photo ID.
• Photo Identity Proof: In addition to the admit card, candidates must carry a valid photo ID, such as a College ID (along with a debit/credit card), employer ID, driving license, passport, PAN card, Voter ID, or Aadhaar card.
• Name Change Document: If a candidate has changed their name, they must bring the official name change certificate/document.
• PwD/Scribe Certificate: Candidates with disabilities (PwD) must bring the necessary certificate and, if applicable, the scribe certificate attested by a competent authority if they plan to use scribe services.

CAT Answer Key 2024

The CAT 2024 answer key will be available approximately one week after the exam. The preliminary answer key will be accessible through the login portal for a limited time. To download the CAT 2024 answer key and response sheet, follow these steps:

MBA Admission Through CAT Score
