The registration portal for IIT JAM 2025 went live on September 3, 2024, on the official JAM 2025 website, managed by IIT Delhi, the organizing body. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled for February 2, 2025. The IIT JAM 2025 application process began on September 3, 2024, allowing candidates to fill out the registration form. Those wishing to apply for academic programs (MSc and Integrated PhD) offered by 22 IITs and other participating institutes must visit the official website for registration. Candidates first need to access the JOAPS portal to create an account, which will assist them in filling out the application form, submitting the JAM 2025 registration fee, and accessing admit card and result information.
The last date for filling up the JAM application form for the examination is October, 11, 2024. The registration process is also completely online, and candidates are advised to go through the JAM 2025 eligibility criteria to avoid any problems regarding their candidature for admission.
The IIT JAM 2025 shall provide MSc degree courses in more than seven disciplines, out of which one new course shall be added. The Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is a national-level online entrance exam conducted annually by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on a rotational basis on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. IIT JAM facilitates admission to MSc and other postgraduate courses offered at IITs and Integrated PhD courses provided by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions.

To meet the requirement of potential candidates for postgraduate education in Biological Sciences at IITs, MSc in Biological Sciences has been launched by IIT Delhi as a new two-year master’s degree programme. Aspirants who have already filled out the IIT JAM 2024 application form and wish to enrol in the MSc Biological Sciences course at IIT Delhi must take the Biotechnology (BT) and Chemistry (CY) exams of IIT JAM.
The JAM 2025 exam will be conducted to facilitate admissions into MSc and Integrated PhD programs offered by IITs and other result-sharing institutes, including NITs, DIAT, IIEST, IISER Pune, IISER Bhopal, IIPE, JNCASR, and SLIET, through CCMN. The JAM Score 2025 is utilized for admissions to various postgraduate programs, including (i) M.Sc., (ii) M.Sc. (Tech.), (iii) MS (Research), (iv) M.Sc. - M.Tech. Before filling out the IIT JAM 2025 application form, aspirants must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.
Until 2021, the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM required candidates to achieve a minimum aggregate of 55% or a CGPA/CPI of 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates, and 50% or a CGPA/CPI of 5.0 for reserved category candidates. However, starting in 2022, this requirement was relaxed. Now, applicants only need to hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with no specific eligibility cutoff.
In addition to meeting the educational qualifications for JAM 2025, candidates must also provide a physical fitness certificate during the admissions process. The institute may deny admission to those deemed unfit for their chosen Science course. Candidates must review the subject-specific eligibility criteria for JAM 2025 carefully.

The JAM 2025 application form opened on September 3, 2024, and is available online on the exam's official website. Candidates must first register by providing their personal and educational details. After receiving their registration credentials via email and SMS, they must log in again to fill in the application form with their remaining personal and academic details, exam city preference, course preference, and document uploads. After completing the application form, candidates must pay the application fee online using a credit/debit card or net banking.
Once the form is submitted, a new window will appear showing the candidate's name and enrollment ID, along with the application fee amount. After verifying these details, candidates should click the 'Proceed to Payment' button.

The IIT JAM 2025 exam pattern indicates that each test paper has a duration of three hours. Candidates are required to answer 60 questions, which carry a total of 100 marks. These questions are categorized into three sections: A, B, and C. The exam will be conducted in English.

The IIT JAM 2025 admit exam officials will issue cards in the second week of January 2025 for candidates appearing for the MSc/MSc Integrated PhD program. Candidates can follow these steps to download their IIT JAM 2025 admit card:
JAM 2025 is proposed to be conducted on February 2, 2025. The test proves for admission to 100 undergraduate courses across multiple nationwide centres. It intends to evaluate the knowledge levels of the candidates in their areas of specialization. The exam will cover six subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, biotechnology, Economics, and Geology. Questions will be drawn from graduate level topics in the respective subject area.
In 2025, after the successful conduction of the IIT JAM exam, IIT Delhi will come up with the provisional answer key first. The JAM 2025 answer key dates will be announced shortly. This means that candidates will be allowed to lodge their complaints about the provisional answer key at an agreed time. An expert team will review the objections, and soon, the final answer key for JAM 2025 will be disclosed.
However, since the JAM 2025 exam has yet to be conducted and the result will be out soon, the candidates can use the JAM 2024 cutoff for reference. The exam officials will eventually put the IIT JAM cutoff for the subject that the candidate took on the candidate’s scorecard.
