Full Form of ITI

What is the full form of ITI?

The ITI Full Form is Industrial Training Institute, which is a government training institute tasked with imparting industry-related education to high school students. Simultaneously, there are some trades that may be used even after the 8th grade. In particular, these institutes are established to impart technical knowledge to students who have recently cleared the 10th level and are looking for some technical knowledge instead of higher education. The Directorate-General formed ITI for Employment and Training (DGET), the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, and the Union Government to impart training in various trades.

There are numerous ITIs, both government and private, across India that impart vocational training to students. Candidates will sit for the All India Trade Test (AITT) after completing the training and a National Trade Certificate (NTC) will be awarded to successful candidates.

The primary objective of an ITI is to train its candidates for the industry and employ them. ITIs also provide apprenticeship courses to make it feasible.
