The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is anticipated to organise the JEE Advanced 2025 examination. The official exam date will be announced on the JEE Advanced website, jee adv.ac.in. Scheduled for May 2025, the application form for JEE Advanced 2025 will be released in April 2025. JEE Advanced is the advanced examination of students seeking IITs admittance in the subsequent year after writing the JEE Main examination. Nearly 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify for the JEE Main move on to the JEE Advanced, which is anyway mandatory if a candidate wishes to get into one of these institutes. Candidates can verify their eligibility to take JEE Advanced 2025 based on the following five criteria:
Candidates must be one among the first two twenty-five thousand successful candidates in every category of BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2025. Precisely 250,284 candidates who appeared in JEE Main were eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam last year. Please refer to the table below for details:

Contestants must have their birthdays on and after October 1 of the year 2000. For SC, ST and PwD category candidates, the age limit is relaxed by five years, that is, they should not have been born before October 1, 1995.
Each candidate is allowed to attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years. Those who took JEE Advanced 2024 for the first time may also sit for JEE Advanced 2025. Likewise, candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2025 for the first time will be eligible to take JEE Advanced 2026.
The students who passed their Class 12 in the year 2024 or 2025 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. However, the candidate is not eligible for taking JEE (Advanced) 2025 if he/she has appeared for the Class XII or equivalent exam for the first time in 2023 or earlier, irrespective of the number of subjects attempted by him/her.
Candidates must not have been admitted to an IIT in the past, whether or not they continued in the program or accepted a seat by reporting online or at a reporting centre.
Change in JEE Advanced Eligibility: OCI/PIO card holders who obtained their OCI/PIO card before March 4, 2021, will be considered Indian nationals for seat allocation to IITs.
Only candidates who achieve a JEE Main 2025 rank within the top 2.5 lakh are eligible to complete the JEE Advanced application form. The application process is conducted online, and the form is available exclusively on the official website.
Step 1: Every student is going to register on the official website using the JEE Main 2025 roll number, password, and security pin
Step 2: This information should be filled in by students in the spaces provided in the JEE Advanced 2025 application form and includes the student’s name, parents name, communication, and residential address, among others. All information must be accurate, as any view that is provided with wrong information will lead to cancellation of their candidature at further stages.
Further, students have to fill in the postal address, phone number, and email address they want included in the application form, as well as choose preferred exam centres. They will also be asked to scan the documents that should be attached to the application and upload digital copies of them.
After filling out all the required information, students should take multiple printouts of the final application form for future reference.

The admission process for JEE Advanced 2025 begins with JEE Main. Follow the steps outlined in the infographic below for clarity:
JEE Advanced 2025 will be held at exam centres located in various cities across India and abroad. Candidates can choose their test cities while applying online for the exam. The exam centers are divided into seven zones: these include IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras. In the application process, the candidates will be guided to select a preferred zone, and centres will be assigned afterwards. Detailed information about the centre, including the address, name, and reporting time, will be available on the JEE Advanced 2025 admit card.
Candidates can access their admit cards through their individual JEE Advanced 2025 login. Those who successfully register by paying the application fee will receive their admit cards, which indicate the allotted test centre.
On exam day, candidates must bring a printed copy of the admit card and a valid original photo ID from the following options:
Only candidates with valid admit cards and photo IDs will be permitted to take the exam. Pens, pencils, drinking water in a transparent bottle, the printed admit card, and the original photo ID are allowed in the examination hall.
The BArch program is offered only at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Roorkee. The BArch (Architecture) intended candidates must complete the Architectural Aptitude Test (AAT). The candidates are allowed to take AAT 2025 only if they got qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2025. The AAT will be held at all the IITs, and there will be no special call letter for this test. JEE (Advanced) 2025 admit card will be required to be taken as a printout and physically brought to the AAT examination hall along with the original photo ID card.
AAT can be taken by applying only through the online portal of the JEE (Advanced) 2025. The test will be a written test just one paper duration will be of three hours, and the medium of the test will be English. A candidate should carry their drawing and colouring utensils for the draw. The AAT result shall be declared on the JEE (Advanced) 2025 web portal.
