OJEE Counselling

The counselling for MBA/MCA/MTech/MArch/MPlan/MSc Computer Science in Special OJEE 2024 session shall begin from August 7, 2024, at 5 in the evening. The second- round allocation of MBA/MCA/MTech/MSc courses was declared on 06/08/2024 and the first- round allocation on 26/07/2024. The facility to lock choice for various courses was further exercised up to 23rd July, 2024. The last round of lot allocation to both LE Tech and LE BSc was announced on the 19th of July 2024. The special OJEE result 2024 was released on 9 July 2024. All web counselling for different courses under OJEE started on 8th July 2024. Counselling for Lateral Entry Courses for BTech and BPharma began on June 19, 2024.

What is OJEE?

This state level examination is owned and conducted by the OJEE Cell for admissions into B. Pharmacy, MBA/PGDM, Master of Computer Applications [MCA], and Master of Technology [M.Tech]. For different programmes, a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode is conducted for the OJEE examination. Depending on the obtained OJEE rankings, the candidate can use the obtained score to apply for a number of courses offered in various OJEE affiliated institutions. OJEE also helps admissions in Lateral Entry B.Tech, MCA/Lateral Entry MCA courses also. Also, Biju Pattanaik Film and Television Institute of Odisha (BPFTIO) has come up with a four year degree programme in Cinematic Art and Technology for the session 2024-26 which includes cinematography, sound recording & sound Design, and Film Editing. Job aspirants who wish to join the BCAT and MSc Computer Science have to write OJEE.

Overview of the OJEE Exam:

  • OJEE stands for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination, which is an entry test organised by the state for admission to various BTech, BPharma, MCA, MBA and other courses in different private and government /aided self financed technical and professional colleges in Odisha.
  • The exam is held every year in a computer based test model.
  • It is however comparatively more challenging as compared to other MBA entrance tests such as CAT, XAT and ATMA.
  • The OJEE exam consists of four sections: Numbers and Operations, Number and Operations – Fractions and Percentages, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, and Business Environment and Basics.
  • The exam consists of multiple course sections with multiple-choice questions.
  • While the duration is 3 hours for BPharma there are 2 hours for LE BTech, LE BSc/LE MCA, MBA, MTech, and MArch and 1 hour for MPharma, Integrated MBA, and LE BPharm.
  • To overcome the scenario of missed JEE Main, special OJEE is conducted for admission into B. Tech courses.

OJEE Counselling:

The second counselling seat matrix announced on 6 th of August 2024 is for those who have taken admissions in MBA/MTech/MCA and MSc programmes. The Thailand Cabinet Standing Committee on Economic Development made the announcement to cut fares on July 26, 2024, first with the initial list of together list. The last waiting list distribution of LE Tech and LE BSc was as follows was on 19-07-2024. For admission to BTech, BArch, MBA, MCA, MPlan, MTech, and other programs, OJEE counselling commenced on July 8, 2024, while for Lateral Entry courses of BTech and BPharma the counselling was started on June 19, 2024. The candidates who have obtained OJEE, JEE Main and NEET rank along with the candidate who has been admitted need not have to appear separately for counselling. The final counselling for OJEE 2024 will be online. Those aspirants who qualify the exam are allowed to join the OJEE counselling round according to the rank and schedule. Through the counselling, the final seat distribution will also be added to the student’s record. The participants are allowed to participate by providing their own creditentials to log in. In the case of Special OJEE, ranking begins with 1100001. Registrations for the special OJEE counselling started from 4th June, 2024.

Special OJEE 2024:

Counseling registration for Special OJEE 2024 begins at 5 PM on August 07, 2024. On July 9, 2024, the outcome of Special OJEE 2024 was declared. The Special OJEE application form was available on the web. Students willing to apply but who were not able to take the regular OJEE could enroll for Special OJEE. This exam was held for admissions to BTech, LeTech (Diploma), LeTech (B.Sc), MBA, MCA, MTech, MPlan, MArch, MPharma. Special OJEE 2024 was conducted in order to fill up non-occupied seats of first-year courses in the private and government colleges in the state of Odisha. Candidate Willing to Take Admission in the Government Colleges within the State of Odisha Will Not get the Admission but May Seek Admission in Private Colleges. Candidates who have a rank in OJEE or JEE Main do not have to take Special OJEE. The Special OJEE 2024 was conducted between the multi-day period of June 24, 2024, to June 27, 2024, with schedules and admit cards made available online.

OJEE Result 2024:

OJEE 2024 results have been announced for both the regular and Special OJEE exams. Candidates can download their scorecards online using their login credentials. To check the OJEE result 2024:

  1. Visit the OJEE website.
  2. Click on the 'Rank Card- OJEE' button.
  3. Log in with your application number and date of birth.
  4. Click the submit button.

OJEE 2024 Exam Day Guidelines:

To ensure a smooth exam experience, candidates should follow these guidelines:

  • Bring the OJEE admit card to the exam centre, as entry without it is not allowed.

  • Please arrive at the test centre at least one hour before the exam to complete the formalities. Entry is not permitted 15 minutes before the exam starts.
  • Refrain from carrying food items into the examination hall.
  • Review the instructions on the admit card regarding signature, documents, and test procedures.
  • Bring a PWD certificate (if applicable) and a valid photo ID proof such as a PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card (with photograph), Aadhaar Enrollment Number, or Ration Card.
  • Carry a blue/black ballpoint pen for marking answers or rough work.
  • You are prohibited from bringing mobile phones, calculators, watches/smartwatches, earphones, Bluetooth devices, paper bits, notebooks, or study materials.

OJEE Preparation 2024:

Start preparing for the OJEE at least six months before the exam. Create a structured study plan covering all syllabus topics while allowing time for revision and practice. Focus on understanding fundamentals and keys.

OJEE preparation should start at least six months prior to the exam date. The initial crucial step is to create a well-organized study plan that covers each topic in the syllabus while allowing sufficient time for revision and practice. Begin your preparation with the key topics, focusing on understanding the fundamentals and basic concepts. Start with the more challenging topics and gradually move to the easier ones. After covering the syllabus, practice with samples and practice papers.

Candidates should complete at least 20-25 OJEE mock tests to enhance speed and accuracy. This practice will also aid in a thorough understanding of concepts and easier memorization of formulas. Consulting recommended books and study materials is essential for effective preparation.

OJEE Cutoff 2024

The OJEE 2024 cutoff will be announced online. This cutoff will indicate the opening and closing ranks for various courses. Seats will be allocated based on the scores obtained in the OJEE 2024 exam. Candidates meeting the cutoff criteria will be invited to participate in the OJEE counselling process.

OJEE 2024 Admission Process

The following steps outline the entire OJEE 2024 admission process, from registration and application to seat allotment and reporting at the allotted institutes.

Step 1: OJEE Registrations

The first step is registering for the OJEE. Candidates should visit the official OJEE website to register by completing the OJEE 2024 application form with the required details. The application process is completed by paying the OJEE application fee of INR 1,000. If applying for a combination of papers, such as M.Tech and MBA or MBA and MCA, the fee is INR 1,500. Fees can be paid through Netbanking, Debit/Credit card, or Offline via SBI challan.

Step 2: Download the OJEE Admit Card

Candidates should download the OJEE 2024 admit card from the official website and review the instructions carefully. Any discrepancies on the admit card should be reported immediately to the OJEE Cell.

Step 3: Appear for the OJEE 2024 Exam

OJEE 2024 will be conducted in computer-based test mode. Candidates must arrive at the exam centre at least one hour before the exam starts.

Step 4: Download OJEE 2024 Answer Key

The OJEE Cell will publish the answer keys for the OJEE 2024 question paper on the official website. Candidates can also download their scorecards from the same site.

Step 5: Register for the OJEE 2024 Counselling Process

Candidates who pass the OJEE exam need to register for the OJEE counselling process. The authorities will release the list of selected candidates through Web Counselling and Institute level.

New test centres have been added to the list of OJEE 2024 exam centres. A total of 39 cities across Odisha are designated as OJEE 2024 exam centres.

OJEE is a state-level entrance exam, and its scores are used for admission to both government and private institutes in Odisha. Last year, 89 institutes offered B.Tech courses based on OJEE scores, while 63 institutes offered MBA courses.

OJEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes vary:

Undergraduate Programmes: Note: OJEE does not conduct exams for MBBS, BDS, or BE/B. Tech admissions are based on NEET and JEE Main, respectively.

  1. B.Pharma: Candidates should have passed Class 12 in the science stream with at least 45% aggregate. No age limit is specified.
  2. BHMS/BAMS: Candidates should have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate. No age limit is specified.
  3. BCAT: Candidates should have passed Class 12 in the science stream.

Postgraduate Programmes:

  1. MBA: A graduate degree in any relevant discipline or a four-year Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy degree with at least 50% aggregate. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
  2. MTech: A minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation from a relevant discipline. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
  3. MCA: A minimum of 50% in a three-year graduation and Mathematics at 10+2 or undergraduate level. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
  4. MArch: A bachelor's degree in Architecture with at least 50% aggregate. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
  5. MPharma: Graduation in Pharmacy with at least 50% aggregate. No age limit. Final-year students can apply.
  6. MSc Computer Science: BSc degree with at least 50% aggregate or BCA with science as the mainstream in Class 12. Reserved category students have a 5% relaxation.

OJEE Application Process 2024:

The OJEE application process is online. The OJEE 2024 registration form was available on the official website (https://www.ojee.nic.in/). To apply for the OJEE exam, follow these steps:

You can create a user profile by filling out the OJEE registration form with details such as name, date of birth, gender, email ID, phone number, and ID proof. Complete the OJEE application form using the application number and password. You can pay the OJEE application fee via credit/debit card, internet banking, UPI, or other banking wallets. Upload the required documents and left-hand thumb impression in the prescribed format.

OJEE Admit Card 2024:

The OJEE admit card is crucial for entry to the exam centre. The admit cards for OJEE 2024 were released on April 27, 2024.
