Registration for the Special OJEE 2024 counselling for MBA, MCA, MTech, MArch, MPlan, and MSc Computer Science will commence on August 7, 2024, at 5 PM. The second-round allotment for MBA/MCA/MTech/MSc courses was released on August 6, 2024, and the first-round allotment was published on July 26, 2024. The choice-locking facility for various courses was extended until July 23, 2024. The final round allotment for LE Tech and LE BSc was released on July 19, 2024. The Special OJEE result 2024 was announced on July 9, 2024. OJEE web counselling for various courses began on July 8, 2024. The counselling process for Lateral Entry Courses for BTech and BPharma started on June 19, 2024.

What is OJEE?

The Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the OJEE Cell for admissions to B.Pharm, MBA/PGDM, MCA, and M.Tech courses. The OJEE exam is held in a computer-based test (CBT) mode for various programmes. Based on OJEE scores, candidates can apply for admission to numerous programmes offered by OJEE-participating colleges. OJEE also facilitates admissions to Lateral Entry B.Tech, MCA/Lateral Entry MCA courses. Additionally, the Biju Pattanaik Film and Television Institute of Odisha (BPFTIO) offers a four-year degree programme in Cinematic Art and Technology for the academic session 2024-26, covering disciplines such as Cinematography, Sound Recording and Sound Design, and Film Editing. Candidates interested in BCAT and MSc Computer Science must apply through OJEE.

Overview of the OJEE Exam:

  • OJEE is a centralized entrance exam managed by the state government for admissions to various private and government colleges in Odisha.
  • The exam is conducted annually in a computer-based test mode.
  • It generally has a moderate difficulty level compared to other MBA exams like CAT, XAT, and ATMA.
  • The OJEE exam consists of four sections: Quantitative Techniques, Verbal Reasoning and Comprehension, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness and Business Fundamentals.
  • The exam features multiple-choice questions across all courses.
  • The duration is three hours for BPharma; two hours for LE BTech, LE BSc/LE MCA, MBA, MTech, and MArch; and one hour for MPharma, Integrated MBA, and LE BPharm.
  • Special OJEE is conducted for BTech admissions for students who missed JEE Main.

OJEE Counselling:

The second allotment list for MBA/MTech/MCA and MSc courses was released on August 6, 2024. The first allotment list was published on July 26, 2024. The final allotment list for LE Tech and LE BSc was released on July 19, 2024. OJEE counselling for BTech, BArch, MBA, MCA, MPlan, MTech, etc., began on July 8, 2024, while counselling for Lateral Entry courses for BTech and BPharma started on June 19, 2024. All OJEE, JEE Main, and NEET rank holders are eligible to participate in the counselling process, regardless of their admission status. OJEE 2024 counselling will be conducted online for final seat allotment. Students who qualify the exam can participate in the OJEE counselling round based on their ranks and schedule. The final seat allotment will be released after the counselling process. Candidates can log in using their credentials to participate. For Special OJEE, ranking starts from 1100001. Special OJEE counselling registrations began on June 4, 2024.

Special OJEE 2024:

Special OJEE 2024 counselling registration will start on August 7, 2024, at 5 PM. The Special OJEE result 2024 was announced on July 9, 2024. The application form for Special OJEE was available online. Students who missed the regular OJEE but wished to apply could do so through Special OJEE. This exam was conducted for admissions to BTech, LeTech (Diploma), LeTech (B.Sc), MBA, MCA, MTech, MPlan, MArch, and MPharma courses. Special OJEE 2024 aimed to fill vacant seats in the first-year courses at private and government colleges in Odisha. Students from outside Odisha are not eligible for government college admissions but can apply to private colleges. Those with OJEE or JEE Main ranks do not need to take Special OJEE. The Special OJEE 2024 was held from June 24, 2024, to June 27, 2024, with schedules and admit cards available online.

OJEE Result 2024:

OJEE 2024 results have been announced for both the regular and Special OJEE exams. Candidates can download their scorecards online using their login credentials. To check the OJEE result 2024:

  1. Visit the OJEE website.
  2. Click on the 'Rank Card- OJEE' button.
  3. Log in with your application number and date of birth.
  4. Click the submit button.

OJEE 2024 Exam Day Guidelines:

To ensure a smooth exam experience, candidates should follow these guidelines:

  • Bring the OJEE admit card to the exam centre as entry without it is not allowed.

  • Arrive at the test centre at least one hour before the exam to complete formalities. No entry is permitted 15 minutes before the exam starts.
  • Do not carry food items into the examination hall.
  • Review the instructions on the admit card regarding signature, documents, and test procedures.
  • Bring a PWD certificate (if applicable) and a valid photo ID proof such as PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card (with photograph) or Aadhaar Enrolment Number, or Ration Card.
  • Carry a blue/black ballpoint pen for marking answers or rough work.
  • Avoid bringing prohibited items like mobile phones, calculators, watches/smartwatches, earphones, Bluetooth devices, paper bits, notebooks, or study materials.

OJEE Admit Card 2024:

The OJEE admit card is crucial for entry to the exam centre. The admit cards for OJEE 2024 were released on April 27, 2024. Special OJEE admit cards were also released on the official website of OJEE. Candidates who completed their registration could access their admit cards. To download the OJEE 2024 admit card:

  1. Visit the official OJEE website.
  2. Click on 'Download Admit Card – OJEE 2024'.
  3. Log in using your application number and date of birth.
  4. Click on 'Download admit card' to view and print it.

OJEE Application Process 2024:

The OJEE application process is online. The OJEE 2024 registration form was available on the official website (https://www.ojee.nic.in/). To apply for the OJEE exam, follow these steps:

  1. Create a user profile by filling out the OJEE registration form with details such as name, date of birth, gender, email ID, phone number, and ID proof.
  2. Complete the OJEE application form using the application number and password.
  3. Pay the OJEE application fee via credit/debit card, internet banking, UPI, or other banking wallets.
  4. Upload the required documents and left-hand thumb impression in the prescribed format.

OJEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes vary:

  • Undergraduate Programmes:

    Note: OJEE does not conduct exams for MBBS, BDS, BE/B.Tech admissions; these are based on NEET and JEE Main, respectively.

    1. B.Pharma: Candidates should have passed Class 12 in the science stream with at least 45% aggregate. No age limit is specified.
    2. BHMS/BAMS: Candidates should have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate. No age limit is specified.
    3. BCAT: Candidates should have passed Class 12 in the science stream.
  • Postgraduate Programmes:

    1. MBA: A graduate degree in any relevant discipline or a four-year Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy degree with at least 50% aggregate. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
    2. MTech: A minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation from a relevant discipline. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
    3. MCA: A minimum of 50% in a three-year graduation and Mathematics at 10+2 or undergraduate level. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
    4. MArch: A bachelor’s degree in Architecture with at least 50% aggregate. Final-year students can apply. No age limit.
    5. MPharma: Graduation in Pharmacy with at least 50% aggregate. No age limit. Final-year students can apply.
    6. MSc Computer Science: BSc degree with at least 50% aggregate or BCA with science as the mainstream in Class 12. Reserved category students have a 5% relaxation.

OJEE Preparation 2024:

Start preparing for the OJEE at least six months before the exam. Create a structured study plan covering all syllabus topics while allowing time for revision and practice. Focus on understanding fundamentals and key.

OJEE preparation should start at least six months prior to the exam date. The initial crucial step is to create a well-organized study plan that covers each topic in the syllabus while allowing sufficient time for revision and practice. Begin your preparation with the key topics, focusing on understanding the fundamentals and basic concepts. Start with the more challenging topics and gradually move to the easier ones. After covering the syllabus, practice with sample and practice papers.

Candidates should complete at least 20-25 OJEE mock tests to enhance speed and accuracy. This practice will also aid in a thorough understanding of concepts and easier memorization of formulas. Consulting recommended books and study materials is essential for effective preparation.

OJEE Cutoff 2024

The OJEE 2024 cutoff will be announced online. This cutoff will indicate the opening and closing ranks for various courses. Seats will be allocated based on the scores obtained in the OJEE 2024 exam. Candidates meeting the cutoff criteria will be invited to participate in the OJEE counselling process.

OJEE 2024 Admission Process

The following steps outline the entire OJEE 2024 admission process, from registration and application to seat allotment and reporting at the allotted institutes.

Step 1: OJEE Registrations

The first step is registering for the OJEE. Candidates should visit the official OJEE website to register by completing the OJEE 2024 application form with the required details. The application process is completed by paying the OJEE application fee of INR 1,000. If applying for a combination of papers, such as M.Tech and MBA or MBA and MCA, the fee is INR 1,500. Fees can be paid through Netbanking, Debit/Credit card, or Offline via SBI challan.

Step 2: Download OJEE Admit Card

Candidates should download the OJEE 2024 admit card from the official website and review the instructions carefully. Any discrepancies on the admit card should be reported immediately to the OJEE Cell.

Step 3: Appear for OJEE 2024 Exam

OJEE 2024 will be conducted in computer-based test mode. Candidates must arrive at the exam centre at least one hour before the exam starts.

Step 4: Download OJEE 2024 Answer Key

The OJEE Cell will publish the answer keys for the OJEE 2024 question paper on the official website. Candidates can also download their scorecards from the same site.

Step 5: Register for OJEE 2024 Counselling Process

Candidates who pass the OJEE exam need to register for the OJEE counselling process. The list of selected candidates through Web Counselling and Institute level will be released by the authorities.

New test centres have been added to the list of OJEE 2024 exam centres. A total of 39 cities across Odisha are designated as OJEE 2024 exam centres.

OJEE is a state-level entrance exam, and its scores are used for admission to both government and private institutes in Odisha. Last year, 89 institutes offered B.Tech courses based on OJEE scores, while 63 institutes offered MBA courses.
