UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for UPSEE 2025, candidates must meet specific criteria established by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University for admission into various programs. Check the eligibility criteria below.

Eligibility Criteria for Admissions in B.Tech, B.Arch, BFAD, BFA or BHMCT:

• Candidates should have completed the intermediate examination from the Uttar Pradesh Board or an equivalent course from any recognized board.
• The 12th examination must be passed without grace marks in all compulsory subjects and one optional subject.
• Candidates need to secure at least 45% marks for General category and 40% for Reserved category in the aggregate of the required subjects (PCM/B).
• For admission to the 1st year of B.Arch, candidates must have completed a 3-year Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by the Central or State Government, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate without grace. They must also pass Paper 4 of the B.Arch entrance exam.
• Admission to B.Tech will be based on JEE Main scores.

Eligibility Criteria for Admissions in MBA, MCA, Integrated MBA Courses Through UPSEE 2025:

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks for the General category and 45% for the Reserved category.
• For MCA admission, candidates should have passed class 12th or graduation with Mathematics.
• For 5-year MBA or Integrated MBA programs, candidates should have passed Class 12th from the Uttar Pradesh Board or an equivalent exam from any recognized board.

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry Through UPSEE 2025:

• Lateral entry (Direct Admission) to the 2nd year of B.Arch is not allowed.
• Lateral entry in B.Tech programs is available for Engineering Diploma holders or B.Sc Graduates with Mathematics in XII standard in institutions affiliated with AKTU, Lucknow.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission (Lateral Entry) to the Second Year in Any Branch of Engineering/Technology:

• Candidates should have completed a 3-year Engineering Diploma from any institution in UP with at least 45% marks for General category or 40% for Reserved category.
• Alternatively, candidates whose parents (either father or mother or both) are domiciled in Uttar Pradesh and have completed a 3-year Engineering Diploma with the same percentage criteria from an institution recognized by the UP Board of Technical Education are eligible.
• Candidates with a 3-year B.Sc Degree from any recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks (General category) or 40% (Reserved category) and have passed 12th with Mathematics are eligible.

Eligibility for Lateral Entry in Agriculture Through UPSEE 2025:

• To be eligible for lateral entry in Agriculture, candidates should have completed a 3-year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from a UP institution with at least 45% marks (General category) or 40% (Reserved category).
• Alternatively, candidates whose parents are residents of Uttar Pradesh and have completed the diploma with the specified marks from a recognized institution are also eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to the 2nd Year of B.Pharm Through UPSEE 2025:

• Candidates should have passed B.Sc or 2/3 years of Diploma in Pharmacy with Mathematics as a subject in class 12th.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to the 2nd Year of MCA Through UPSEE 2025:

• Candidates should have completed a 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA), B.Sc IT, or B.Sc Computer Applications with at least 50% marks for the General category and 45% for the Reserved category.

Note: Lateral entry or direct admissions are not permitted for B.Arch, BFAD, BFA, BHMCT, and MBA programs.

UPSEE Reservation Criteria

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, has defined reservation criteria for UPSEE 2022 admissions across various courses. The reservation is divided into two categories: Vertical and Horizontal.

Points to Note:

• Candidates can claim only one type of reservation from UPFF/UPAF/UPHC. Female candidates may claim UPFF/UPAF/UPHC in addition to UPGL.
• Candidates must specify their category choice during the application process.
• Requests for changes in category or sub-category will not be accepted.
• Availability of seats under the Fee Waiver scheme will be communicated during the counselling process.
• Female candidates automatically receive all benefits of the UPGL sub-category.
• Candidates from rural UP institutions will receive a 3% weightage on their total marks in UPSEE 2025.

UPSEE 2022 Merit List

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, will release the merit list for UPSEE 2025 after the counselling registration. The list will be based on JEE Main scores. Candidates included in the merit list will be eligible for counselling. In case of a tie in JEE Main scores:
